There are many easy ways to help the school raise money to support our programs and special events.

Supermarket Dollars

Local supermarkets will give cash to our school for dollars spent by GICS families.

  Giant Food: The Giant A+ BONUSBUCKS program runs from early October through April. We encourage everyone to take advantage of this program and thank everyone as well for their donations to our school in the past.

  Safeway:  Please sign up or renew for the Safeway program through eScrip. We receive 3% of your total purchase while simply shopping for groceries.

If you would like to enroll, let a member of the Parents Association know and we will take care of the paperwork for you. The information we would need is Last name, First name, Address, and Safeway Club Card number.

Please remember -- you MUST use your Safeway card when shopping in order to receive credit for your purchases. Encourage neighbors, grandparents, aunts and uncles to participate too!

  Lauer's: No enrollment is necessary, just mention GICS at checkout and 3% of your purchase will be applied to our account.

   Office Depot will also give cash for dollars. Mention GICS at checkout and our school will receive a percentage of your purchase.

Box Tops for Education

Clip Box Tops for Education from hundreds of your favorite General Mills products found throughout your local grocery store. Each Box Top is worth 10 cents to our school. This program runs constantly throughout the year. There is a box in the main office to collect the Box Tops or you can send them into the school via Backpack Express.

   Land's End
We participate in the Land's End school uniform program. Land's End will send 3% of all school clothing sales back to GICS! School clothing can be ordered on line at www.Landsend.com/school or by calling 1-800-469-2222. The GICS school code for the 3% credit is 900095183.

   Target
You can sign up for the Take Charge of Education program by calling 1-800-316-6142 or by visiting www.target.com. Designate GICS, and Target will donate an amount equal to one percent (1%) of your Target Visa or Target Card purchases at any Target store and www.Target.com, and one-half percent (1/2%) of your Target Visa purchases everywhere else you use your Target Visa.

   Combined Federal Campaign of Central Maryland
One way of providing financial support to GICS is through the Combined Federal Campaign of Central Maryland. If you are a Federal Employee, you can name GICS as a recipient through payroll deductions. We are listed in their contributor's guide; our CFC number is 3056.
