Take a Tour of our School with Flat Stanley
Flat Stanley came to visit the Kindergarten class recently, and
the students happily welcomed him to their classroom.
They showed him where he was going to spend the night, letting
him test the accommodations' comforts... |

| And showed him some of the activities going on in class,
including the hatching of butterflies. |

They then happily began a tour of the school with him...
| There was an early morning trip to the library to share a book on
Jimmy's Place... |

| ...and some time on the other side of the building in the
computer lab. |

| Then it was on to the North Building, with a nice long stop to
see some of the animals in the Science room. There were the
terrapin turtles being raised for a Spring release by the 1st
graders... |

| ...and Emily, a corn snake... |

| ...and Iggy, a rather large iguana who likes to bob his head as
the students learn new things in class. |

| Leaving Science, Flat Stanley and his guides headed down
the hall to Señora in the Spanish classroom... |

| ...then outside for a visit to the playground. |

| Later, with the weather getting a little overcast, they donned
raincoats (Flat Stanley included) and took a look at the Nature Trail... |

| ...they made sure that the canoes were okay... |

| and just appreciated our water views. |

| Then it was back inside for some homeroom time and a papier-mâché
activity. |

There was more to see and do of course - Music and PE and Art and
recess... - but Flat Stanley's time with the Kindergarteners was
limited. He needed to be on his way. Maybe next year...
